STI-Commission is a simple to use commission extension designed to work with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

Commission Setup

To start using STI-Commission, you must first choose how your organization manages commission.
Start by going to Sales & Receivables Setup. To get there, search for Sales & Receivables Setup using the “Tell me what you want to do” search option on the top right of your screen. Click on the link to open the page.

From the Sales and Receivables Setup page, click on the Commission Setup from the menu bar at the top.

On the Commission Setup page you can set how the extension will handle the commission for your customers.

Customer for Commissions

  • Sell-to Customer:  Use this option to tell the extension to use the commission setup from the Sell-to Customer ID
  • Bill-to Customer:  Use this option to tell the extension to use the commission setup from the Bill-to Customer ID

Commission Base Amount

  • Sales Amount: Use this option to calculate the commission based on the pre-taxed sales amount on the Sales Invoice.
  • Profit Margin: Use this option to calculate the commission based on the Profit on the Sales Invoice.
Salesperson Setup

From the Salesperson/Purchaser Card you can turn on commission processing for the salesperson.
To get to the Salesperson/Purchaser Card,  search for Salesperson/Purchaser  using the “Tell me what you want to do” search option on the top right of your screen. Click on the link to open the page.
From  the Salesperson/Purchaser list, click on a Salesperson ID to open the Salesperson/Purchaser Card or you can Click on  New to create a new Salesperson record.

On the Salesperson/Purchaser Card you will find the Commission FastTab located at the bottom of the page. You can turn on Commission processing for the selected Salesperson by turning the Commission toggle on.

You will need to enter the Vendor No. for processing commission invoices and payments for this Salesperson.
If the Salesperson is part of a Sales group, you can enter the Salesperson Group ID to track the group sales.
You must enter a Posting Group for a Salesperson when processing commission, this will be used in the Vendor Purchase Invoice to post the commission expenses.

Item Commission Rate

STI-Commission extension can be used to setup commission on an Item based on a percentage or a fixed amount.
You cans also setup different commission for each Salesperson or Salesperson Group. 

To setup the commission rates for an Item, go to the Item Card, from the menu, select Prices & Discounts then click on Commission Rates.

On the Commission Rate page,  you can setup the commission based on your company’s requirements.
